Please join us Wednesday, March 17th for a very important PTA meeting. Whittier Principal Linda Robinson will be on hand to discuss the school budget for 2010-2011 and the challenging shortfalls the school is facing.



As a PTA we are in a very fortunate position to help. Through extremely prudent fiscal management and equally successful fundraising efforts, over the last few years we have accumulated a healthy reserve. The Board believes now is the time to invest a significant portion of those monies into our school and students. At next week's meeting we will discuss and vote on a proposal to fund .5 of the librarian next year. This would not only keep our library open five days a week, it would also make it possible to retain all of our teaching staff and minimize the number of split classrooms next year.



This is a big decision and a lot of money. Please come and be part of the discussion. Have your voice heard and your questions answered. Cast your vote - this is your PTA!
